Adam Burton Overview

Brummie actor Adam Burton started his acting career performing in venues all over the country, from London Fringe venues such as the Landor Theatre and King’s Head, to The Manchester Palace and Edinburgh Festival’s Underbelly, Assembly Rooms and Pleasance Theatre. In 2007 he had his first real break in a performance of Faust, produced by The National Theatre in collaboration with Punchdrunk. Skills in Stage Combat and Martial Arts have clearly helped him with his subsequent Renaissance theatre focus: he has gone from strength to strength with successive parts in prestigious Shakespeare productions, performing in famous London theatres like The Globe and Battersea Arts Centre, and repeatedly with the RSC. After returning to director Jamie Lloyd with a part in The Old Vic’s The Duchess of Malfi, he revisits the part of Caliban in Justin Audibert’s ‘RSC in a Suitcase’ production of The Tempest.
