In this brilliantly witty and satirical ‘new translation’, contemporary celebrities mix with Gilbert’s own absurd characters, and in typically Gilbertian fashion, each leaps with reckless abandon into a farcical topsy-turvey melee, expounding their bizarre potted life stories along the way.

Meanwhile, music from half a dozen other G&S operas is irreverently mashed in, and what emerges is joyous, wicked, hilarious and absolutely bonkers.
