My First Sleeping Beauty Overview

The My First... ballets by English National Ballet in partnership with English National Ballet School bring you your first taste of the fantastical, magical, make-believe world of ballet.

My First Sleeping Beauty is an enchanted world of castles and curses, forests and fairies, adapted especially for the whole family by choreographer Matthew Hart. Tchaikovsky's gorgeous waltz-filled music includes the tune made famous as Once upon a Dream in Disney's version.

Venue Access Information

There are four wheelchair spaces available in the Circle level, with lift access from the foyer to this level. The Box Office has low level counters and accessible levels for transactions.
The Palace Theatre now offers a Hearing Loop System for the deaf and hard and hearing. A £5.00 deposit is required per headset (this will be refunded upon return of the headset).
Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome at the Palace Theatre and they can stay with you while you are in the Theatre. If you wish to bring your guide or hearing dog to the Theatre, please advise the Box Office when booking your tickets and a seat next to the aisle will be reserved for you. Alternatively a member of staff will care for your dog during the performance. We can also provide drinking water for your dog.
There are disabled toilet facilities on the circle level of the theatre.

The nearest car park is Whitworth Street and Oxford Street - £7.00 for 6 hours.

For those with a Sat Nav the postcode for Whitworth Street is M1 6NE and the postcode for Oxford Street is M1 5EJ

To get the discounted parking rate you must bring your car park ticket to the cloakroom at the theatre for it to be validated - only applicable for evening performances where the car has been parked after 5pm

By train:

Situated directly opposite the Palace Theatre is Oxford Road train station. Piccadilly train station is only 0.3 miles from the theatre.

By tram:

The nearest tram stop is St Peters Square.

By coach:

Coaches operate from the coach station at Manchester Central. This follows an extensive refurbishment of the site, formerly known as Chorlton Street Coach Station.

By bus:

The Palace Theatre is situated on Oxford Road/Street and is on and close to all the major bus routes.
