From the heat of Cuba, comes the heart of dance.
'Some of the best dancers I have ever danced with' Carlos Acosta
Cuba today produces some of the world's finest contemporary and ballet dancers. Leading the field is the unique and exciting Danza Contemporanea de Cuba who this year celebrate an outstanding 50 years of excellence with their first ever major UK tour.
World famous, but rarely seen outside of Cuba, this breath-taking company of 21 dancers bring the heat and passion of Cuba to the stage with an eclectic mix of contemporary dance fused with Afro-Caribbean and Spanish styles. Working with the very best choreographers of the moment, including dance superstar Rafael Bonachela (co-choreographer of Kylie's Showgirl world tour), these extraordinary dancers move seamlessly from classical to contemporary to Cuban.
Danza Contemporanea de Cuba is not just about performing technically difficult steps, it's about the Cuban way of life - sensual, mystical, emotional - and comes from the heart. This is a rare chance to catch this passionate, visually stunning and beautiful company on tour.
